Stuffed peppers with bulgur

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 cup bulgur
  • some olive oil
  • 2 cups water
  • Vegetable stock powder
  • 4 bell peppers
  • spring onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • tomato sauce
  • basil
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • Cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Dice the onion and garlic, sauté with the bulgur in olive oil. Then add 2 cups of water with the stock powder and simmer. In the meantime, wash the bell pepper, cut off the top, and dice finely. Just the top! Dice the spring onions as well. Add everything (including the cheese) to the bulgur mixture and season. Then fill the mixture into the bell peppers. Place the tomato sauce and basil in a baking dish, add the bell peppers, and bake everything in a hot oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Delicious with flatbread or a salad. Tip: Can also be prepared with other vegetables and herbs.
