Super simple herb sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 550 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp Flour approx.
  • e.g. parsley, dried
  • e.g. dill, dried
  • n. B. Thyme, dried
  • 1 lemon(s) or lime, juice and zest
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Goes great with fish

Grate some of the lemon zest (about 1/2 – 1 tsp). Squeeze the lemon and reserve the juice. Pour 500 ml of milk into a saucepan. Add the herbs and zest. Season and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add a little lemon juice to taste. Mix the remaining milk with the flour and stir in. Simmer for a few minutes. If you like, you can use fresh herbs, but then everything will need to simmer a bit longer.
