quite simply

Before I made sushi for the first time, I thought it would be incredibly difficult. But it isn’t. So go for it. All the ingredients are available at Asian stores and cost around 15 euros. But these ingredients are enough for several sushi evenings. Preparation: Soak the sushi rice in water for about 15 minutes, then boil it. You need about 1.5 cups of water for one cup of rice. Detailed instructions are also on the rice package. In the meantime, prepare the shrimp using a steamer and briefly blanch them. Peel the carrots and cut into thin strips. Do the same with the spring onions. Now place one of the nori sheets on a kitchen towel and spread the now cooled rice 1 cm from the edge. Not too thick, but cover the sheet evenly. Now very gently spread a little of the wasabi on top. Caution! It’s spicy. Then arrange the shrimp roughly in the middle and parallel to the bottom edge of the nori sheet. If desired, add strips of spring onion and carrot to the center. Moisten the remaining edge and wrap it in a roll using a kitchen towel. Press firmly… Done!… Place the roll in the refrigerator and cut into slices shortly before serving. Serve with a small bowl of soy sauce and the pickled ginger. Repeat for the crab meat and salmon. I hope you enjoy preparing this dish and have even more fun and enjoyment eating it.
