Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 100 g rice
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 mushrooms (Tung Ku, Chinese mushrooms)
  • 2 Mu-Err mushrooms (dried Chinese morels)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 tbsp five-spice powder (or more to taste)
  • Ginger to taste (fresh or powdered)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Soak the dried mushrooms. Mix all ingredients, except the rice, into a minced meat mixture. Form into small balls (about the size of a walnut), roll in the washed rice, and cook over steam (or in a pressure cooker) for about 30 minutes. Serve with small bowls of soy sauce for dipping.
