Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-large turnip(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • some curry powder
  • a few stalks of rosemary
  • Sea salt, coarse

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

delicious with meat and fish or just with a fresh lemon mayonnaise

Preheat the oven to 225°C (top/bottom heat). Peel the swedes and cut into fries. In a bowl, combine the oil with the paprika and curry powder. Add the swede and mix well. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, arrange the swede sticks on it, and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, finely chop the rosemary and mix with a little sea salt. Sprinkle the rosemary over the finished swede fries. A fresh lemon mayonnaise makes a delicious accompaniment.
