Swedish apple cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 sponge cake base (28 cm)
  • 5 large apples, finely grated
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup(s) sugar
  • ¾ cup(s) water
  • 2 pkt. vanilla sauce powder for cooking
  • ½ liter cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Place a cake ring around the sponge cake base. Combine the apples, lemon juice, eggs, sugar, water, and sauce powder. Bring everything to a boil in a saucepan and simmer for about 2-3 minutes. Spread the mixture while still hot onto the cake base and refrigerate for a few hours. Remove the cake ring. Then whip the cream until stiff and spread it over the top.
