Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g beans, fresh green
  • 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 5 bay leaves
  • 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tbsp salt
  • 500 ml water, boiling
  • 1 small onion(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Rinse the beans and boil them whole in salted water for about 10 minutes until tender. Then bring 500 ml of water to a boil, add the vinegar, and dissolve the salt and sugar. Strain the beans and place them in a bowl. Add the mustard seeds, bay leaves, and onion rings, and pour the hot broth over everything. Let it steep for a day.
