Sweet-and-sour Pork
The perfect sweet-and-sour pork recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 600 gr Pork neck streaked
- 1 tsp Salt
- Szechuan pepper
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- Fat for frying
- 2 tbsp Peanut oil
- 1 bunch Spring onions
- 1 Red peppers
- 1 Green peppers
- 2 Discs Pineapple
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Chutney
- 1 Cup Orange juice
- 1 tbsp Starch to thicken
- Salt
- Cut the meat into 2cm cubes
- Beat the egg and mix with the meat. Sprinkle the meat with cornstarch. And let it steep for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- – Cut the peppers into diamond-shaped pieces.
- – Cut the spring onions into 1cm long pieces
- – Cut the pineapple into small pieces.
- – Mix together the tomato paste, soy sauce, vinegar and the chutney and set aside.
- Heat the peanut oil in a wok and sear the meat. Add the vegetables and fry for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add the pineapple, tomato paste, soy sauce, vinegar and chutney. Mix the orange juice with the starch and add. season the whole thing with salt
