Sweet and sour sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 chili pepper(s), fresh
  • 1 small pointed pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 180 ml water
  • 120 g sugar
  • 60 ml vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water to mix the starch

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 14 minutes

Combine all ingredients, except the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water, in a blender. Transfer to a saucepan and simmer for 3 minutes. Combine the cornstarch and water and stir in. Let it cook for another minute. Remove the pan from the heat and pour the sauce into a container to cool. This yields approximately 250 ml of sauce.
