Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 onions
- 1 kg turkey breast
- 2 tbsp oil
- 375 ml meat broth
- 25 ml red wine
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 50 g sugar
- Carnation(s), ground.
- 6 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Cinnamon
- Mustard
- salt and pepper
- Cayenne pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Finely dice the onions. Brown the prepared turkey breast all over in oil. Add the diced onions. Add the broth and wine and simmer the turkey breast for 30 minutes. Remove the meat, slice it, and cover and keep warm. Add the vinegar, sugar, cloves, cinnamon, and mustard to the braising liquid, season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir in the tomato ketchup and simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken the sauce with the cornstarch. Season again and let the sliced turkey breast simmer in the sauce for another 15 minutes.
