Pork schnitzel in cheese and cream sauce

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 12 small pork schnitzels
  • 3 onions
  • 300 g bacon
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 cups of sweet cream
  • butter
  • Soy sauce to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 40 minutes

Brown the schnitzel and place it in an ovenproof dish. Sauté the onion, bacon, and mushrooms in butter, then mix with the sweet cream. Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce, and stir in the grated cheese. Thicken everything slightly and pour over the schnitzel. Then refrigerate, preferably covered with aluminum foil. The next day, bake the whole thing in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for about an hour, removing the aluminum foil first.
