Sweet Camembert in puff pastry

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large Camemberts
  • 2 packs of puff pastry
  • 1 jar jelly (quince)
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Remove the puff pastry from the refrigerator and let it thaw briefly. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into two pieces. Spread the quince jelly on one side of the Camembert and place that side on a piece of puff pastry. Now spread the jelly on the remaining sides of the Camembert and then bring the puff pastry corners together so that the Camembert is completely covered. Place the parcels on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush them with egg yolk. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (fan oven) for about 35 minutes, until the cheese is soft in the center. They are then ready to serve.
