Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry, fresh (e.g. refrigerated)
  • 700 g chard
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese or feta cheese
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 200 g cheese (Gouda) for sprinkling
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of cream
  • salt and pepper
  • chili
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Line a 26cm springform pan with the puff pastry, using the backing paper as baking paper. Trim and wash the chard. Cut the stalks into strips and roughly chop the leaves. Boil the stalks in salted water for 5 minutes, then add the leaves and boil for another 3 minutes. Drain, rinse with cold water, and squeeze dry. Dice the cooked ham and crumble the feta cheese. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic, and sauté in a little fat. Mix all of these ingredients together and spread on the puff pastry. Coarsely grate the cheese and spread it over the filling. Mix the eggs, cream, and spices together and pour over the vegetable mixture. Bake the chard tart in a preheated oven at 225°C (top/bottom heat) (gas mark 4) for about 30-40 minutes. Serve immediately.
