Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ tbsp oil
  • 1 bunch of soup vegetables
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp juniper berries
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 ½ kg boiled beef

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 100°C (top/bottom heat). Brown the halved onion in oil in a soup pot. Add the washed and coarsely chopped vegetables and seasonings to the onions. Fill with approximately 2 liters of water and bring to a boil. Add the meat. Add a little more salt and pepper and cook the boiled beef in the oven for approximately 5 hours until tender. Cut the meat into thin slices and serve with some broth and garnish.
