Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg mandarin oranges, satsumas or clementines
  • 1 pkt. gelling sugar 2:1, approx. 500 g
  • 1 tsp, leveled ginger powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp, leveled anise powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Thermomix recipe

The weight of the mandarins refers to the peeled fruit. Peel the mandarins, but leave the skin on. Cut the fruit into smaller pieces and place them in the mixing bowl. Add the gelling sugar and gradually break it up using a spatula for about 20 seconds on speed 5. Add the spices to taste. You could replace the anise with ground cloves, or simply add it in. Mix everything thoroughly again on speed 3 or 4 and cook for 13 minutes at 100°C, speed 2. While the jam is still hot, pour it into well-rinsed jars. Seal the jars and turn them upside down for about 5 minutes. The jam keeps for a very long time. Makes 4 or 5 jars, depending on the size of the jar. Enjoy!
