Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 180 g flakes (teff flakes)
- 2 large eggs, 150 ml (otherwise fill with water)
- 1 large carrot(s)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 50 g almonds
- 20 g almonds
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp oil for frying
- salt and pepper
- chili powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Peel and grate or finely dice the carrot, garlic, and onion, and sauté in oil. Toast all the almonds in a dry pan. Mix the teff flakes, eggs, carrot, onion, garlic, and 50 g of almonds and season. Mix the breadcrumbs and the second portion of almonds (20 g). Form a patty and coat in the breadcrumb-almond mixture. Fry on both sides in the pan in 1 tablespoon of oil. This takes about 10 minutes per side. Serve with dips, sauces, salads, potatoes, or rice.
