The best cheese schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g Edam cheese in one piece
  • 2 eggs
  • n. B. Flour
  • Paprika powder
  • breadcrumbs
  • Fat for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the cheese into 4 evenly thick slices. In separate bowls or deep plates, beat the eggs, mix the flour with the paprika, and fill each slice with breadcrumbs. Coat the cheese slices first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Coat them twice, that is, in egg and breadcrumbs, so the cheese doesn’t run out during frying. Make sure the top is firmly closed after each coating! Then fry at medium heat in a pan with enough fat (half the height of the schnitzel).
