Nutritionist and gastroenterologist Alina Budakovskaya named the drinks that restore liver function. These include a number of vegetable juices, mineral water, and coffee.

The expert noted that carrot and pumpkin juices are among the most useful, Moscow 24 reports. The fact is that carrots, like all orange and yellow vegetables, contain a lot of carotenoids, which reduce the damaging effects of toxins. The daily intake of this juice is a 250-milliliter glass.

Beetroot juice is also useful. It is quite difficult to drink in its pure form, so you can combine beets with other vegetables. According to the expert, beets contain a substance that prevents the development of cancer. In addition, beets help rejuvenate liver cells and have detoxifying properties.

Your liver will also thank you for the mineral water. Medium- or highly salty mineral water is especially useful. “It helps to reduce liver inflammation, gallbladder tension, and improves bile flow, normalizes digestion, and restores all metabolic processes in the liver,” the endocrinologist said.

Healthy people should drink a glass of mineral water once a day half an hour before meals. In the case of liver disorders, it is recommended to drink up to three glasses a day.

To improve liver function, you should also drink coffee. In this case, you should choose natural, not instant coffee. The norm of coffee per day is no more than two or three cups per day. This drink can be consumed with low-fat milk (no more than 2.5%).
