The doctor told us why strong tea is dangerous for our health. Nutritionist Olga Dekker named several drinks that help our bodies stay healthy. According to her, water is the healthiest drink for humans. She notes that an important property of water is its ability to dissolve toxins produced by the body.
“We need to remove salts. Sweat, urine, tears, and so on – all the fluids in our body have a certain amount of salt. We remove them, we need to get water, everything should be normal,” Dekker said. The nutritionist says that only weakly brewed green tea can compare with water in terms of its beneficial properties.
Strong tea or coffee, on the other hand, have a diuretic effect, so they need to be supplemented with water, she explained.
Cocoa is also a healthy drink, but only if it is made by hand, from cocoa powder, and with a small amount of sugar, the expert emphasized. Cocoa sold in the store contains a large number of carbohydrates and can only harm the body, Dekker warned.
