Plant herbs – at the right time
Most kitchen herbs are hardy. Nevertheless, you should not expose young plants directly to the cold.
- If you grow your kitchen herbs on the windowsill, you can put them in pots all year round.
- It will hardly get frosty in her apartment. In this respect, it doesn’t matter when you start your herb garden on the windowsill.
- The situation is different if you plant the herbs in the bed or in pots on the balcony or terrace.
- The following applies to all herbs: wait until the cold season is finally over.
- At the beginning of May, you can start planting the herbs. But it’s even better to wait for the ice saints on May 15th.
- Choose a warm, sunny location. Then the young plants will thrive both in the bed and on the balcony.
