Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels (pork neck schnitzel, nicely marbled)
  • 4 large onions
  • 4 tsp oil (rapeseed oil)
  • Mustard
  • pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cut a large piece of aluminum foil for each schnitzel, grease it with a brush to the size of the schnitzel, and cover with onion rings. Season the schnitzels with salt, pepper, and mustard. Place them seasoned-side down on the onion rings. Repeat the same process on the top side and cover with onion rings. Seal the foil tightly. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 250 degrees Celsius (480 degrees Fahrenheit), then for another 30 minutes at 130 degrees Celsius (260 degrees Fahrenheit). Serve with a beer and garlic baguette, and the evening is perfect!
