You can heat refined peanut oil
Peanut oil is particularly popular in Asian cuisine. In Germany, it has so far been used rather seldom.
- Peanut oil is cold-pressed, native, or refined. With virgin oil, the peanuts are not heated during pressing.
- Native peanut oil is therefore not suitable for frying, because the smoke point is around 160 degrees. It is best to only use it to refine your dishes.
- Refined peanut oil has a significantly higher smoke point. It is therefore ideal for roasting and deep-frying.
- Virgin peanut oil is very healthy. It contains a high proportion of unsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids and has a high vitamin E content.
Peanut dip with peanut oil
You can add a tablespoon of virgin peanut oil to Asian dishes to refine the taste.
- For an easy peanut dip, first, grind peanuts in a blender. You can also roast the peanuts in a pan without oil beforehand.
- Mix the peanuts with peanut butter, lemon juice, soy sauce, and peanut oil.
- Mix everything together until you get the consistency you want. You can adjust the consistency with peanut butter and soy sauce or peanut oil.
- Finally, season with salt and sugar.
- The dip is perfect for spring rolls or fried chicken.
