Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 sausages, frankfurters
  • 8 slices of cheese (Chester slices)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • Mustard
  • ketchup
  • mayonnaise
  • Toast bread (three-grain)
  • gherkins

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Delicious toast variation

Chop the onion into small pieces or slices. Quarter the sausages and slice the gherkins into small slices. Now top the toast with a slice of sliced ​​cheese and spread with mustard. Place three sausage quarters on top of the mustard and spread with a little ketchup. Distribute the onions and cucumber slices and add a little mayonnaise in several small heaps (this will spread when it heats up). Cover with another slice of Cheshire cheese and place the second slice of toast on top. Wrap everything in aluminum foil (important: without foil, it will be really dry) and place in the oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes. Unwrap and eat.
