Tofu scramble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300g tofu
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • some oil, vegetable
  • some salt and pepper
  • Spice(s) of your choice
  • possibly soy milk (soy drink)

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Scrambled eggs – tofu substitute, vegan

Lightly dry the tofu with a paper towel. Heat a little oil in a non-stick pan. Crumble the tofu directly into the pan with your hands. The tofu pieces should resemble scrambled eggs. Fry the crumbled tofu in the pan for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Add the sesame seeds and fry briefly. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and spices. Paprika and curry, for example, are good seasonings; they also give the tofu a beautiful yellow color. If the tofu is too dry, you can add a splash of soy milk. The dish can easily be varied by adding vegetables (e.g., onions, mushrooms, peppers, peas, etc.) while frying.
