Tom Yum Shrimp Soup

The perfect tom yum shrimp soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Shrimp
  • 4 Paprika
  • 1 Red onion
  • 1 Can Coconut milk
  • 1 Can Bamboo shoots
  • 3 tsp Tom yum paste
  1. Pat the shrimp dry. Cut the peppers & onions into small pieces. Drain the bamboo shoots
  2. Fry the prawns with a little salt & pepper and the onions in a saucepan, add 3 – 4 teaspoons of tom yum paste and stir. Add the bamboo shoots & pepper pieces, pour in coconut milk and bring to the boil
  3. TIP 3: You round off this delicious soup with a little lemongrass or Thai basil or lime leaves. A treat like in Thailand. . .
