Tomato Alla Italia

The perfect tomato alla italia recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Tomatoes
  • 1 Pc. Meat sausage
  • 2 Pc. Egg whisked
  • 500 g Potato
  • 125 g Ham cubes
  • 1 small Onion
  • 3 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
  • 1 shot Cream 30% fat
  1. Wash tomatoes. Put in a saucepan and add some water. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook on a low flame for 15 minutes. Then press through a sieve.
  2. Cut the sausage into slices and bread it with egg and breadcrumbs. Fry in a pan with a little fat.
  3. Fry the diced ham and diced onion. Then add them to the sifted tomatoes. Bring the whole thing to the boil again and refine with a dash of cream. If necessary, thicken with flour (to taste). Serve with boiled potatoes.
  4. PS: In winter I take tomatoes out of the can.
