Tomato and mozzarella salad à la Gerner

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 5 tbsp olive oil, cold squeezed
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 6 tbsp Balsamic vinegar (Mazzetti Balsamic vinegar Cremoso)
  • 2 balls of mozzarella
  • 1 package basil (frozen)
  • some sugar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Halve the tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Dice the onion and mozzarella and add them to the tomatoes. Add the remaining ingredients and season to taste. I don’t always count the tablespoons exactly, but the ratio given above is fine. Season to your own taste. The Cremoso balsamic vinegar adds the finishing touch.
