an Italian tramezzini with tomato and mozzarella

Toast the bread in the oven or toaster until crisp but NOT brown. Remove from the oven, drizzle with a few drops of olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Slice the tomato and mozzarella and arrange on one slice of bread. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or balsamic vinegar, season with salt and pepper, and then garnish with basil. Drizzle the other toasted slice of bread with olive oil and cover the other half with it. Tip: It looks nice if you slice it nicely and serve it on a plate with some basil leaves.
