Tomato – basil – sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 350 g tomatoes
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pepper, green
  • salt and pepper
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Basil, cut into strips

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel and finely dice the tomatoes. Sauté the chopped onion in olive oil until translucent. Slice the peppers into rings. Add them to the onion along with the tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of water. Sauté over low heat for about 20 minutes. Let cool. Season with salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and basil strips. Pairs well with grilled food.
