Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg tomatoes
  • 500 g apples
  • 500 g onion(s)
  • 250 g raisins
  • 350 g sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp clove pepper
  • 1 tbsp ginger powder
  • 1 ½ tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 0.38 liters of vinegar
  • some rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Wash and chop the tomatoes, removing the stems. Peel and core the apples. Peel the onions and roughly chop them along with the apples. Combine the tomatoes, apples, onion, and raisins in a saucepan with the sugar, vinegar, and spices. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the mixture into prepared jars. Soak parchment paper in rum and place on top of the jars. Secure with the lids. Tip: This pairs best with game, pot roast, and pan-fried meats!
