Tomato chutney with Worcestershire sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg tomatoes, ripe
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 100 ml white wine vinegar (or fruit vinegar)
  • 150 g brown cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp mustard, grained

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

very British, very spicy – great with burgers or chips

Roughly dice the tomatoes. Peel and dice the onion. Heat all ingredients gently in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves. Then bring to a gentle boil. Simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes until a syrupy consistency is reached. Pour into three 350g twist-off jars, seal with the classic lid, and store.
