Tomato cream sauce with mushrooms and bacon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml tomatoes, pureed or chopped, from the can
  • 200 ml cream
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 125 g bacon cubes
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 shot of oil
  • Salt
  • Herbs, Italian
  • Chili powder, optional
  • basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Clean and slice the mushrooms. Peel the onions and slice or dice them. Chop the garlic. Add the oil to a deep pan. First, briefly fry the bacon, then add the mushrooms and onions and fry until crisp. Add the garlic and continue frying. Pour in the cream, reduce slightly, and add the tomatoes. Season with herbs and spices and simmer for a while longer. Serve the sauce over pasta and garnish with torn basil leaves.
