Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 roll of topping dough
  • 1 pack of bacon cubes, approx. 125 g
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 2 handfuls of cheese, grated, e.g. Emmental
  • n. e.g. herbs, e.g. B. Herbs of Provence
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Party snack, makes 20 – 25 bacon rolls

Finely dice the onion and garlic clove and fry with the bacon and herbs until crispy. Finally, stir in the crème fraîche and season with salt and pepper. While the bacon is cooking, you can start rolling out the puff pastry. Spread the finished crème fraîche and bacon mixture evenly along the long side of the bottom half, sprinkle with as much grated cheese as you like, and roll up. If the roll isn’t too firm, that’s okay, as the puff pastry will expand again in the oven. Cut the roll into slices about 1 cm thick. Bake in the oven at about 160°C for 15-20 minutes, until the bacon rolls are nicely browned. One roll of puff pastry makes about 20-25 bacon rolls.
