Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 1 kg carrot(s)
- 3 kg tomatoes
- 500 g mushrooms
- 500 g corn
- 500 g onion(s)
- 4 cloves garlic
- salt and pepper
- 5 kg minced meat
- Oil (olive oil)
- 250 g tomato paste
- basil
- Paprika powder
- Wine, red
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour
Peiljani tomato sauce
Pour olive oil into a tall pot. Dice the onions into small cubes and sauté with the garlic. Then dice the carrots and slice the mushrooms. Add the minced meat to the onions in the pot and sauté. Then add the carrots, mushrooms, corn, and sliced tomatoes and sauté. Add tomato paste and deglaze with a little red wine. Then add about 5 liters of water. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sprinkle with fresh chopped basil at the end. Enjoy!
