Tomato sauce with zucchini and bacon

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 zucchini
  • 175 g bacon cubes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 1 can/n tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Chop the zucchini, onion, chili, and garlic clove. First, fry the onions, garlic, and chili in a deep pan or saucepan until translucent. Then add the bacon cubes and fry for about 2 minutes. Add the zucchini cubes, stir everything together, and fry. Stir in the tomato paste. Then add the peeled canned tomatoes. Season with thyme and oregano and simmer briefly. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
