Tortellini with tomato and cheese sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g tomatoes, chopped
  • 100 g processed cheese
  • ¾ cup cream, approx. 150 g
  • 20 g Gouda, grated
  • 1 tsp basil, shredded
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 500g tortellini

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

vegetarian, quick & easy

Cook the tortellini in a little salted water according to the package instructions. Add the chopped tomatoes to a pot and heat. Then add the processed cheese and cream and let everything melt well. Season to taste with basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Then puree the sauce with an immersion blender until it is nice and smooth and free of lumps. Finally, add the grated Gouda cheese to taste and let it melt. Serve the sauce over the tortellini. This sauce is quick to make and perfect for a quick pasta dish.
