Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of frozen puff pastry (450 g)
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 5 tbsp herbs fresh, chopped, mixed or frozen
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 5 trout fillets, smoked
  • 1 egg(s), separated
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry and cut each sheet in half. Combine the cream cheese with herbs, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and pepper, and spread it on the puff pastry. Halve the trout fillets and place them in the center of the puff pastry. Fold two corners toward the center, brush the edges with egg white, and press lightly. Whisk the egg yolk with milk and brush the pastry with it. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes.
