Tuna steaks on leek vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g tuna steak(s), frozen
  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • ½ lemon(s), juice
  • 50 g crème fraîche
  • 50 ml white wine
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Mint, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Thaw the tuna steaks, wash them, and pat them dry. Then season with salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice. Finely slice the leek and fry in butter until golden brown. Add the white wine and crème fraîche, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and cover and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Place the tuna on top of the vegetables and simmer for another 15 minutes. Sprinkle with mint to garnish. Serve with fresh baguette, green tagliatelle, or rice.
