Turkey strips with braised cucumber

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 g turkey schnitzel
  • 2 onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 large cucumber(s) or stewed cucumber
  • 2 tbsp plum jam
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sauce (hoisin sauce)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Salt
  • Oil, for frying

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Simple dish from the wok

Cut the turkey cutlet into thin strips and the onion into half rings. Finely chop the garlic. Halve the cucumber lengthwise, scrape out the seeds with a spoon, and then slice. Fry the meat, onion, and garlic in hot oil until almost cooked. Remove and keep warm. Briefly fry the cucumber in the hot oil. Return the meat. Add the plum jam, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and a pinch of salt; bring to a boil and serve hot with rice.
