Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 300 ml milk
  • 50 ml oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g sheep’s cheese
  • ½ bunch parsley, fresh
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 1 pack of Yufka pastry sheets, suitable for baklava

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Mix all the ingredients for the sauce together. For the filling, mash the feta cheese with a fork and mix with the finely chopped parsley and grated cheese. Place two yufkas on top of each other, spread with the sauce, and spread the filling over them. Then, starting at both ends, crimp the yufkas together and place them on the baking sheet. Repeat this process until all the filling is used up. Spread the remaining sauce over the yufkas and immediately transfer to the oven, otherwise the yufkas will melt. Bake the börek in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown.
