Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g quark, very dry
  • 80 g flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • Salt
  • 1 egg(s), possibly 2
  • 4 tbsp butter or margarine
  • powdered sugar
  • 125 ml syrup (fruit syrup) or sour cream
  • Flour for the work surface

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Russian quark pancakes

Strain the curd through a sieve into a deep bowl. Stir together the flour, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, and raw egg(s). Roll this mixture into a thick sausage shape on a floured baking board and cut into 10 equal slices. Fry in hot butter until golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle the finished tvoroshniki with powdered sugar or serve warm with sour cream or fruit syrup.
