Twee Butts – Pudding

The perfect twee butts – pudding recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 packet Custard powder
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 50 ml Cream 30% fat
  • 50 ml Advocaat
  • 1 Pc. Vanilla pods (pulp only)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar fine
  • 1 Pc. Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Water
  1. Put some water in a saucepan, just enough to cover the bottom. Add the butter and bring to the boil, combine the milk and cream and stir. Pour 2/3 of it into the boiling buttered water, scrape the pulp from the vanilla pod, add to the milk and bring to the boil. Mix 1/3 of the milk cream mixture with the sugar, the advocate, the pudding powder and the egg yolk.
  2. When the milk boils, the mixed pudding powder can be added and brought to the boil again while stirring. Once the pudding has the desired consistency, it can be filled into the prepared glasses or bowls. Sprinkle the pudding with a little sugar so that no skin forms, because that’s not everyone’s taste.
