Vegan Brunch: The Best Recipes and Ideas

Cooking vegan is easy with a little practice. You can also easily organize a brunch with vegan dishes. We give you tips for the big day and introduce you to the three best brunch recipes without animal products.

Eat vegan: Tips for a successful brunch

If you eat vegan yourself or invite friends who do not eat animal products to your brunch, the following applies: Dairy products, eggs, sausage, meat, fish, and honey should not be on the table.

  • How many different vegan dishes you should prepare depends on how many guests will be coming to your brunch.
  • So that you don’t have too much work on the big day, prepare some dishes the day before. It is even easier if each guest brings something for the buffet.
  • Offer a variety of cold, warm, savory, and sweet dishes so that there is something for everyone and the buffet can be varied. This includes various baked goods, spreads, muesli, fruit, vegetables, salads, finger food, hot dishes, and desserts.
  • No brunch without mimosa: Alcohol in the morning is actually taboo, but the mimosa for brunch is an exception. If you would like to serve sparkling wine or champagne with orange juice, make sure that the bottle has a vegan label. Alcoholic beverages may contain aromas, colorings, or clarifying agents of animal origin.

Sweet & fruity: Bircher muesli

You can prepare Bircher muesli quickly and inexpensively. The best thing is: that there is no stove or oven in this recipe. Offer your guests different berries and nuts to garnish the muesli.

  1. Ingredients for 4 small bowls: 10 tbsp oat flakes, 200 ml plant-based milk alternative (e.g. almond drink), 250 g soy yogurt, 1 apple, 1 tbsp agave syrup, a few fish raspberries, a few nuts (e.g. almonds or cashews), possibly some cinnamon
  2. Preparation: Mix the oat flakes with the plant-based milk in a bowl. Leave the mixture in the refrigerator for several hours overnight.
  3. The next day, add a grated apple.
  4. Place the oatmeal in four small bowls. Divide the yogurt evenly between all the bowls and decorate the Bircher muesli with raspberries, nuts, agave syrup, and some cinnamon.
