Vegan lecho sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 jar of lecho
  • 2 large onions
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • ½ tube(s) tomato paste, normal
  • ½ tube(s) Tomato paste, hot
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • herbal salt
  • Italian spice(s) such as marjoram, oregano, thyme etc. or ready-made mix

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Grate or slice the onions and garlic into thin slices. Dice the tomatoes. Thinly slice the leeks. Combine everything with the lecsó in a large pot and heat. Season with tomato paste and spices and simmer for about 10 minutes. We served it with “caviar noodles,” small, round pasta. You can also serve it with rice, couscous, or other pasta.
