Vegan Mac'n'Cheese from Canada

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta shells
  • 75 g yeast flakes
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 2 onions, red
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 3 tsp paprika powder, smoked
  • 3 tsp yeast extract (Marmite), alternatively more yeast flakes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, dice the onions and garlic. Sauté them in 1 tablespoon of oil until translucent. Once the pasta is cooked, add it to the onions and garlic, add the remaining ingredients, mix everything together, heat through, and season to taste.
