Vegetable Cordon Bleus

The perfect vegetable cordon bleus recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Kohlrabi
  • Salt
  • 4 Discs Racelette cheese
  • Fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp White flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • Oil
  • Ketchup
  1. Cut the kohlrabi into approx. 1 cm thick slices and cook in salted water for approx. 5 minutes until just soft. Pat dry the cooking. Place 1 slice of cheese and 3-4 basil leaves between two kohlrabi slices and cut away the cheese corners. Put the flour in a plate. Beat the egg with salt in a deep plate, put the breadcrumbs in a flat plate. Turn the cordon bleus in the flour, egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Lightly press the breading. Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the cordon bleus over medium heat for approx. 5 minutes on each side. Western fries go well with it
