Vegetable rice, very simple

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cup(s) rice, loose, (e.g. parboiled)
  • 3 ½ cups vegetable broth
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 pack of frozen vegetables (e.g. peas or buttered vegetables), optionally fresh vegetables
  • 1 tbsp, leveled butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the finely chopped onion until translucent. Add the rice (brown, wild, or basmati rice, depending on your taste) and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the stock. Add the vegetables and simmer over low heat until the rice is puffy and tender. Stir occasionally.
