Vegetable stew with bratwurst balls and Maultaschen

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 5 sausages, coarse, skin removed, formed into balls
  • 1 kohlrabi, diced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 1 handful of peas, frozen
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 1 pack of Maultasche(s) (300 g)
  • Beef broth or vegetable broth, granulated
  • 2 bay leaves
  • some allspice berries
  • garlic powder
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Combine all the vegetables except the peas, the sausage balls, and a tea strainer with allspice and bay leaves in a pot. Add broth until everything is covered, and simmer for 10 minutes. Then add the peas and the Maultaschen and simmer for another 10 minutes. Now add the cream and the remaining spices, heat briefly, and serve. So simple, yet so delicious!
