Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 1 package of pizza dough, 550 g
- 1 package smoked tofu, 400 g
- 1 kg onion(s)
- 2 cups of sour cream, approx. 200 g each
- 4 eggs
- 1 package of grated cheese, 250 g
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- some oil or margarine for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
First, cut the smoked tofu into small cubes and fry in a pan with oil until crispy. In the meantime, chop the onions into small pieces and sauté them in the same amount of oil until translucent. Mix both together in a bowl and let cool slightly. Then mix the tofu and onions together with the sour cream, eggs, half of the grated cheese, and the seasonings. Spread the pizza dough on a baking sheet and spread the onion, sour cream, and egg mixture evenly over it. Sprinkle the other half of the grated cheese on top. Bake the onion tart in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 35-40 minutes. It’s best to let the onion tart cool for 15 minutes before enjoying. This dish contains approximately 600 kcal per serving.
