Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 10 tbsp vinegar
  • ½ liter broth (vegetable soup)
  • Mustard
  • 10 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 45 minutes

Basic recipe for Austrian potato salad

Boil and peel the potatoes. Let them cool, then slice them. Dice the onions and mix them with the potato slices. Marinate them with half a liter of vegetable broth, the oil, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper and a pinch of sugar. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for several hours until the liquid is absorbed.
